About Us

McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.

Position and Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry and related building maintenance tasks such as camp windows, lock sets, stairwell rehabilitation, and various office renovations.


• Installation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, equipment, and other duties as assigned

This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 90 days.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

• grade 12 diploma or equivalent;


• valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson carpenter ticket;


• minimum five years of carpentry experience in an industrial or mining environment;


• strong team player with excellent communication skills;


• excellent safety record; and


• work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Assets:

• SAP experience;


• First Aid certification;


• Maintenance experience; and


• Scaffolder proficiency certification.

Conditions of Employment:
