We are searching for a part-time Driver for our Ottawa Facility. 

The estimated number of shifts is approximately 2 but could fluctuate, especially in our busy season (September to May)

About the Role:

Main Purpose of the Job:

Regular delivery and pick up of Friendlier inventory from customers 

Reports to:

Dispatcher & Logistics Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliveries and pick-ups of reusable containers from participating locations, while doing deliveries of new containers at the same time. 


• Representing the Friendlier brand on all deliveries and pickups.


• Additional delivery/pickup support


• Use software while on route to track deliveries and pickups


• Work independently and efficiently


• Conduct required checks and safety procedures


• Work with incoming and outgoing facility team to facilitate smooth operations in logistics

Qualifications:

• Clean driving record 


• Familiarity with service and delivery to the GTA/GOA


• Able to take initiative and work individually. 


• Able to work within a team environment. 


• Able to adapt to varying responsibilities. 


• Ability to read, write, and speak in English. 


• Strong customer service skills; outgoing and comfortable speaking with new people regularly


• Professional and effective communication skills.

Working Conditions:

The facility can be subject to temperature fluctuations. Return containers may contain food residue, mold, pests, and odors.

• Must be able to lift a 30lbs box/bag.

• May be required to use a computer or tablet throughout the shift. 


• Psychological Demands 


• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail. 


• Must have access to a smart phone for the duration of shifts.
