As we scale rapidly across camp construction, remote logistics, and aviation services, we’re seeking a WordPress Website Developer to support our business on a casual / contract basis.

This role would be ideally suited to a person who has their own Website Development company and is looking for a new client.

Full job description

We are looking for a creative and experienced casual / freelance / contract WordPress Website Developer to support our business periodically. You will be responsible for meeting project deadlines, managing your workflow to meet our requirements including accurate data entry, file maintenance, web design, scripts, etc

Responsibilities

• Make updates and refreshes to our existing WordPress website.
• Develop and maintain image library files
• Submit rough layouts for project approval
• Setup of WordPress plugins
• Turnaround project updates in a timely manner to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Must live in the South Okanagan and be able to work from our office in Osoyoos, B.C. as required
• Knowledge of design and photo-editing software
• Previous experience working as a graphic designer or related field.
• Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to work independently and create custom designs for assigned projects.
• Understanding best coding practices for HTML/CSS and WordPress is a must.
• Possess graphic design portfolio

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of CSS/HTML
• 2+ years of experience working with WordPress (Divi/Elementor)
• Strong understanding of best practices for search engine optimization on a page
• Strong knowledge of best practices when optimizing web pages for all devices.
• Possess a web design portfolio
