We’re looking for a responsible, professional, and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our Imperial Oil site team in Nanticoke. In this role, you’ll play an essential part in maintaining safety, access control, and emergency readiness on-site while upholding Paladin’s reputation for excellence and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure site safety and security.
• Control access at entry points and verify authorized personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.
• Enforce company policies and report any security breaches or unusual activities.
• Complete daily security logs and incident reports.
• Operate security equipment including CCTV, COM Radio systems, and weigh scale (after hours).
• Issue and track keys, card keys, and visitor access passes.
• Announce severe weather alerts and safety advisories when required.
• Liaise with local authorities and emergency services as needed.
• Support site emergency duties and maintain readiness procedures.
• Work collaboratively with site leadership and Paladin’s security team.

• Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario.
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved provider).
• Valid G Class Driver’s License.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• English fluency (oral and written).
• Knowledge of Transport Canada MARSEC rules is an asset.
• Customer service experience preferred.
