Job Summary


Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.



The Client Services department is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and collaborative individual for the permanent full-time position of Change Management Advisor.



Reporting to the Director, Client Services, the Change Management Advisor, provides strategic change leadership for Client Services by translating transformation and operating priorities into practical, people-centered change approaches that strengthen service delivery to Members, caucus staff, and constituency office staff. Working closely with the leaders and subject matter experts, the Advisor plans and delivers integrated engagement, outreach, and communications; assesses change readiness and impacts; and supports leaders and clients to navigate strategic and high impact operational initiatives. The role builds trust-based relationships across diverse partners, monitors adoption and success measures, and embeds sustainability mechanisms to ensure changes are effectively implemented, widely adopted, and maintained over time within a sensitive, non-partisan parliamentary environment.



Qualifications


Applicants must have:



  • Post-secondary education in a related program, plus at least 5 years of providing change readiness and management advice and services, including managing transformative organizational change, building partnerships and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, and applying structured methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience developing, implementing, and assessing engagement, communications, and change management plans and strategies, and leading the successful execution thereof.

  • Experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships and building trust.

  • Experience working in a complex and multi-faceted service-oriented environment.



Preference may be given to candidates with the following:



  • Recognized certification in change management.

  • Experience working in a parliamentary or public sector environment.
