Work Arrangement: Hybrid: You’ll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.

Please note that this is a temporary position for 18 Months to cover a maternity leave.

As ATB's next Chargebacks Officer, your primary accountability is to resolve card fraud claims and disputes on behalf of ATB customers. The Chargebacks Officer must comply with payment card dispute standards and regulations and act ethically in resolving customer disputes. Through dispute resolution, the Chargebacks officer supports ATB and its clients in recovering funds lost as a result of fraud across critical products and services.

Responsibilities:

The Chargebacks Officer is responsible for completing the below tasks. In addition, the Chargebacks Officer must be willing and able to learn new processes and take on new work responsibilities as new product offerings are implemented.

• Build fraud and non-fraud cases to recover funds from merchants on behalf of customers
• Ensure accuracy in dispute reasons and compliance with payment card chargeback mandates, rules, and regulations
• Process dispute payments, and settlements, and perform account reconciliation
• Manage merchant representments and work with customers to obtain necessary documentation to proceed with a claim that has been refuted by a merchant
• Manage internal and external chargeback inquiries
• Ensure reporting and fraud losses records are maintained and accurate

• An understanding of how card payments work, understand the chargebacks process, relevant industry experience of 2+ years is preferred
• Proven ability to uptake new processes and follow rules and regulations
• Detail oriented while maintaining high proficiency in processing large volumes of time sensitive work effectively
• Ability to quickly learn how to use new tools and software, proficient computer skills required and proven ability to analyze information, think through difficult problems, and make critical decisions based on limited information
• A proven ability to learn and execute against new processes while following applicable rules and regulations required
