The Distribution Team Leader coordinates the activities of his sector. He plans the days according to the volume of work, the priorities, the availability of resources and the equipment of his department.
Responsibility and tasks
Plan and coordinate the workload according to priorities and obtain the best efficiency possible; Participate in service meetings with internal customers in order to follow up and thus improve service; Prepare and issue various activity reports to his supervisor, explain discrepancies and propose solutions; Organize the work of the members of his team in order to achieve and exceed the established objectives; Identify and communicate the needs (manpower and equipment) of his team to his supervisor; Participate in the development of his team by making sure to respect the procedures (SOP), training needs, productivity and quality; Apply the control measures and follow-ups established by his supervisor; Participate in the application of corporate policies and procedures for his team; Identify, recommend and promote continuous improvement; Prepare and do the stand-ups in the absence of the Supervisor; Work closely with different departments within the company. Maintain constant contact with planners/buyers to establish priorities; Take care of the distribution of the truck(s) between the production sites and subcontractors; Make appointments for deliveries in order to plan work days. PICK/PACK
Maintain daily contact with Customer Service and the transportation manager to serve all customers according to priorities; Ensure that the trucks are loaded according to the established schedule and maximize the space used in order to respect the budgetary guidelines; Carry out the follow-up of errors in collaboration with the supervisor in order to reduce and prevent picking errors; Carry out the daily verification of the "jobs due" reports and correct any discrepancies Environment
The incumbent must comply with safety standards (height and weight of pallets, packaging of pallets; hazardous and narcotic materials). He must always wear safety equipment and promote safe work methods. The work is done in a warehouse under ambient and refrigerated temperature conditions.
