Lodge Chef

We are looking for an experienced and creative chef to join our team at Ena Lake Lodge for the 2025 season, a luxury fishing lodge that hosts up to 12 guests per visit in 6 individual cabins. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and service, ensuring quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction. You will also collaborate with the front-of-house staff, managers, and owners to provide a seamless dining experience for our guests.

As the chef at Ena Lake Lodge, you will:

• Maintain the Ena Lake Core Values in all aspects of the ELLFC program delivery.


• Plan and develop upscale menus that showcase your passion for food and your creative flair.


• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, snacks, appetizers, and dinners for guests and staff.


• Prepare “to-go” meals and snacks for those departing on fishing excursions, including the coordination of shore lunch meals.


• Manage food inventory, ordering, and budgeting in this remote location. (fly-in only)


• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.


• Monitor and evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.


• Create and maintain a positive and professional work environment.


• Participate in the Ena Tip Pool initiative that treats all team members equally.

To be successful as a chef at Ena Lake Lodge, you should have:

• A culinary degree or equivalent.


• At least 3 years of experience 


• A proven track record of creating innovative and delicious dishes.


• A strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and and ingredients.


• A high level of attention to detail and quality control.


• Comfortable addressing special diets. (allergies, etc.)


• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


• The ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.


• Remote lodge chef experience considered an asset.

Working Conditions

• This position is in a remote location in Northern Saskatchewan, this type of culinary work is challenging and successful team members are naturally motivated by a passion for food service and creating memorable experiences with our guests.


• Able to lift, carry up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.


• Manual dexterity to operate job specific equipment on a constant basis.
