Chief Returning Officer Hiring Committee Student-at-Large

The Chief Returning Officer (CRO) Hiring Committee is looking for two (2) student-at-large members to sit on the hiring committee. As a committee member, the selected student-at-larges will be directly involved in shortlisting, interviewing and hiring the Chief Returning Officer (CRO) for the 2025/26 Students' Council. 

Any member of the Students' Union may apply for this role, so long as they do not also currently sit on Students' Council or the DIE Board. 

The CRO Hiring Committee is composed of the following members:

  • The 2024/25 Chief Returning Officer (CRO)  
  
  
  • Two (2) Student-at-Large Members 
  
  
  • The University of Alberta Students' Union Governance Manager as a non-voting member
  
  
  • The Council Administration Committee (CAC) Chair as a non-voting member 
  
  
  
  

The Hiring Timeline for the CRO Hiring Committee is from April 1st - April 8th, with an estimated commitment of 10hrs during that timeframe.
