arc programs is accepting applications for a full-time Child, Youth and Family Counsellor to join the Nakusp Services Program to start in early January 2026.
This is a hybrid role, with responsibilities in the following service areas:.
Hours / Schedule:
Service hours will be delivered on a flexible basis, and may include evening and weekend hours, to meet the needs of clients referred to the program.
The successful candidate will provide limited on-call, after hours support for families in crisis. Most services will be provided on an outreach / in-home basis.
Please note that this role requires extensive travel outside of Nakusp, and covers a vast service area, which includes New Denver, Fauquier, Edgewood and Silverton.
The successful applicant will be provided with a company vehicle.
Responsibilities:
Child, Youth and Family Counsellors will provides direct behaviour intervention, counselling, education and support services for referred children, youth and parents/caregivers in Nakusp, Arrow Lakes, and the Slocan Valley.

Wage / Benefits:
$ 29.75 - $ 31.25 per hour based on experience and education.
Upon successful completion of a trial period, this position is eligible for a full benefit package (including dental plan, vision coverage, life insurance, extended medical coverage, long-term disability plan, and RRSP or TFSA contributions); as well as accrued vacation and sick time at 5.8% - above BC Employment Standards!
