ANC Transloading Inc. (ANCTI) is a diverse and agile organization providing transportation offloading via rail and truck, site services management, heavy equipment operation, and warehouse solutions both externally and internally on the Alberta Newsprint Company (ANC) mill site. ANCTI is wholly-owned by ANC. Located in Whitecourt, and operating with a non-unionized workforce, ANC’s paper mill—the first in Alberta—produces paper of such high quality that it has become the standard by which other paper products manufactured in North America are measured. ANCTI is seeking a safety-focused Chip Loader to support chip yard operations at our pulp and paper mill. This role is responsible for unloading chip deliveries, managing chip piles, and ensuring a consistent supply of fibre to mill operations.

 ANCTI operates on a continental schedule. The candidate will generally work on rotation, both days and nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment to unload and move wood chips.


• Manage chip piles and maintain efficient chip yard operations.


• Loading fines and material on out bound trucks.


• Monitor chip quality and report contamination or irregular material.


• Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical concerns.


• Maintain safe working conditions and follow all safety and environmental procedures.


• Assist with general chip yard housekeeping and snow removal.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.


• Experience in an industrial, forestry, or manufacturing environment is an asset.


• Strong commitment to safe work practices.


• Ability to work outdoors and around heavy equipment.

 Pay starting at $72,190.56 annually.
