Civil Engineer COOP

PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic consulting firm specializing in the engineering and design of overhead & underground transmission/distribution systems, substations, fibre optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations. Our expertise allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer COOP to join our Burnaby, BC engineering team. We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be fully involved in all aspects of the engineering and design process.  

Responsibilities:

•               Work within a project team of engineers and designers in our Civil Group.

•               Knowledge of structural engineering design including steel and concrete structures and foundations.

•               Gain knowledge of Civil works including site preparation, drainage system and access roads.

•               Familiar with applicable Canadian codes and standards.

•               Familiar with software applicable to structural engineering design as well as experience with AutoCAD would be beneficial.

•               Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•               Attend client meetings and maintaining good working relationships with Clients.

Qualifications:

•               Minimum 3rd or 4th year student in Civil/ Structural engineering program.

•               Knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs.

•               Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an attention to detail are essential.

•               Able to work effectively as a member of a team.
