Accountabilities
- Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and manage claims to resolution.
- Negotiate settlements within designated authority and ensure claims are well documented.
- Calculate and assign reserves throughout the claim lifecycle and manage timely benefit payments.
- Prepare necessary state filings within statutory limits and oversee litigation processes.
- Coordinate vendor referrals and utilize cost containment strategies to manage overall claim costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Five years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Knowledge of California jurisdiction is essential, along with appropriate licensing.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills are a must for effective claims resolution.
