Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver Intermodal

Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver – Intermodal. The Driver will be based out of Dieppe, NB.

The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.  
 

Shift: 4 days on – 4 days off (0500-1700)

•    Running Linehaul in the Maritimes between the rail yards, customers, and Midland Terminals
•    Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery
•    Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage
•    Communicate efficiently with the dispatch and customers
•    Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws
•    Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation
•    Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner

 

•    Education Required: High School or GED
•    Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required
•    Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search
•    Familiarity with satellite systems
•    Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•    Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment
•    Safety conscious.
