Clerk, Member Services

The following is a short-term contract position for approximately six months, working 35 hours per week.

The Clerk, Member Services works independently to correspond with external clients, providing information and guidance on the program while maintaining the accuracy of collected data. The Clerk, Member Services is responsible for organizing and preparing various reports and maintaining statistical counts for the department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide correspondence to internal and external partners relating to:
  
  
  
  • Inquiries coming from Albertans, membership, legal representatives, etc.
  
  
  • Escalation of files needing further review and or clarity, outlining the issue and recommended solutions
  
  
  • Procedures pertinent to work functions within the Registration department
  
  
  • Participate and collaborate in cross-department projects
  
  
  • Reactivation of any suspensions and cancellations that have been resolved
  
  
  
  


• Maintain data integrity of records within databases, including:
  
  
  
  • Process payments for information requests and update pre-authorized payment details for memberships; and accurately record payments received
  
  
  • Compile and verify reports and data while searching for continuous quality improvement opportunities
  
  
  • Update records within the database to ensure file accuracy, and inform other teams of updates as required
  
  
  • Obtain consent and issue information, receipts, certificates, forms and membership cards as required
  
  
  • Review Articles of Incorporation, revival, amendment and amalgamation for adherence to legislative guidelines and policies for accuracy and completeness
  
  
  
  


• In support of continuous quality improvement, review and make recommendations to update processes or procedures within CPSA.


• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required Minimum Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • Certificate program in administration or equivalent
  
  
  • 1 year of administrative experience
  
  
  
  

• Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  
  
  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
  
  • Experience with data entry
  
  
  
  

SALARY
The annual salary for this position is $53,816 plus 4% vacation pay and includes a small benefits package.

During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
