This position has a yearly salary range of $126,470.00 to $158,087.00

The Clinical Care Manager, Patient Access & Flow is accountable for the oversight of patient flow activities across all sites. This includes responsibility for hospital-wide patient placement, bed utilization, and the real-time coordination of patient movement to ensure patients are cared for in the most appropriate setting based on acuity, resources, and system capacity. The role oversees admission, transfer, discharge, repatriation, and transition processes, including the coordination of outbound medevacs to external partner hospitals and the receipt of incoming medevacs and transfers from surrounding settings such as community nursing stations and regional facilities.
Knowledge, skills and abilities require
Strong knowledge of management principles, methods, and practices, including human resource management, budgeting, and operational planning
Knowledge of the continuum of care and the roles of other health disciplines in supporting integrated, patient-centred care, and discharge planning.
Knowledge of conflict resolution principles and techniques applicable to complex, multidisciplinary environments
Demonstrated understanding of change management theories and quality improvement practices, with experience enabling culture shifts that improve performance and outcomes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support effective decision-making and system improvement
Demonstrated business acumen and systems-thinking skills to align resources, priorities, and performance with organizational goals
Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate change initiatives and action plans that deliver measurable results
Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop staff through formal and informal development processes, fostering healthy, high-performing teams
Ability to engage others, build partnerships, and facilitate collaboration across disciplines and with external stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare clear, concise reports and correspondence
Strong computer proficiency and ability to use information systems to support clinical and operational decision-making
Ability to set priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently in a complex and rapidly changing environment
Self-aware, values-driven leadership style demonstrating integrity, resilience, confidence, and accountability
Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and innovation
The successful candidate will have a Baccalaureate Degree in a health care related discipline. Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles in a healthcare environment, preferably in an acute care academic teaching hospital. Current CPR. Additional education in nursing management, financial management, staff development, Post graduate certification in specialty areas, Masters in Nursing or Leadership and MediTech experience would be desired.
