CNC Operator

Our client in Orangeville, is seeking a motivated, self-starter to join their team as a CNC Operator/Robot Technician in their department. This position is responsible for the setup and operation of CNC machines and processes in a plastic manufacturing environment. The role also includes maintaining and operating robot cells.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Utilize CNC equipment to cut, trim, slot, chamber, profile, and shape materials.
  


• Pull up programs and make minor adjustments as needed.
  


• Install machine accessories such as pins, cutting tools, templates, and spoil boards.
  


• Experience with robot cells in a manufacturing environment.
  


• Consistently follow standards, rules, policies, work instructions, and directions.
  


• Operate handheld tools and measuring equipment.
  


• Maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines.
  


• Work effectively in a team-based environment.
  

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical skills.
  


• Good visual/color vision and eye/hand coordination.
  


• Strong attention to detail.
  


• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  


• Above-average attendance record.
  


• Previous experience operating CNC equipment and the ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
  


• Certified forklift operation.
  

Shifts:

• 12-hour continental day/night shift, with a 4-week turnaround.
  


• Averaging agreements in place.
  


• 84 hours biweekly with opportunities for overtime.
  

Rate of Pay:

The rate of pay will vary depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experiences, and educational background, ranging from $20.00 to $24.82.
