CNC Programmer

This position will be based out of our Vancouver Branch located in Surrey, British Columbia. The CNC Programmer reports to the Metals Production Plant Manager or the designated Leads in the absence of the Manager. This position is the first line to drive the Panel Shop fabrication flow with CNC programming. You will be gathering all information resources in a timely manner and be able to create the working files for various CNC machines.

A Day In The Life

• Analyzing and reviewing the given project information package.
• Checking all quantities of given information with workorder sheet.
• Modification of DXF files based on required material specifications.
• Generating G codes(NC files) from programming Software.
• Generating nesting maps for cutting layout(automatic/manual)
• Maintaining CNC tool inventory.

What We Are Seeking

• Knowledge of CAD, XCAM, PanelBuilder, Inventor, and MasterCam software preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC operations, wide format is an asset.
• Blueprint navigation in a construction atmosphere.
• Ability to modify given DXF, STEP or
• Basic knowledge in MS Excel/Words/Outlook and various PDF programs.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Architectural product knowledge considered an asset.

$30 - $35 an hour
