Job Description - COHE Coordinator - PL#12013

The safety-focused professional to support and oversee lockout and energy isolation processes at a remote industrial site in Northern Saskatchewan. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, efficient operations by coordinating across multiple teams and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and site requirements.

Role Description / Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all lockout and energy isolation processes and supporting systems are up-to-date, fully resourced, comply with OH&S regulations, and align with site policies and procedures
  • Provide oversight for lockout and energy isolation processes across the site
  • Act as the primary liaison between Operations, Maintenance, Contractors, and Project Management teams for organizing lockout, confined space, and break-in activities
  • Ensure all necessary lockout resources and documentation are prepared, maintained, and ready for use
  • Work with Safety and Training teams to update lockout policies and provide employee training as needed
  • Collaborate closely with Coordinators and Planners to ensure tasks are properly planned and scheduled
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings
  • Work at a remote location in Northern Saskatchewan
  • Experience in an industrial plant or mill setting, with strong knowledge of energy isolation procedures.
  • Solid understanding of mill operations, processes, and equipment, including safety principles and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OH&S regulations related to confined space and energy isolation requirements.
  • Strong task management skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership ability, with front-line supervisory experience and a focus on fostering an accountable and supportive work environment.
  • The ability to get to Saskatoon for private chartered flights.
