Commercial Project Manager

Hays is currently working with a reputable and growing general contractor in Edmonton, who are hiring a Senior / Project Manager.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your expertise in project management, construction processes, and effective communication will be crucial in delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage commercial & mix-use projects from start to finish, including tenant improvement and new build projects


2. Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets


3. Manage project teams and ensure timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards


4. Ensure project compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations


5. Monitor and report project progress, risks, and opportunities to the management team


6. Proactively identify and resolve project issues

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management in the commercial sector


• Strong knowledge of tenant improvement or new build projects


• Excellent communication and leadership skills


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


• Detail-oriented and organized


• Familiarity with project management software and tools


• A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
