Commercial Refrigeration Product Specialist & Designer

Who are we?

National Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Canada Corp. is a leading North American manufacturer of commercial refrigeration products marketed under the KeepRite Refrigeration brand name. These products include specialized applications in food storage and processing, industrial process cooling, including evaporator coils, condensing units, condensers, heat transfer and heat recovery and air conditioning products. KeepRite Refrigeration products have been manufactured and distributed worldwide for over 80 years.

About the Role:

This role will be responsible for engineering and designing customer orders and ensuring their efficiency through capacity calculation, component selection, and the use of software like AutoCAD and Solid Edge to design parts, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings. The successful candidate will be assisting our rack team and will work closely with various teams such as industrial engineering, production, and lab technicians. Preference will be given to those with a background in supermarket-type equipment. To excel in this role, the candidate should have a refrigeration background, be able to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment and have a strong proficiency with operating various computer programs and software. KeepRite Refrigeration products include unit coolers/ evaporators, condensing units, multi-compressor distributed systems, racks, air-cooled condensers, and fluid coolers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Receive, interpret, and respond to sales or customer product-related inquiries


•  Design refrigeration systems and select equipment based on parameters supplied or industry standards


• Offer technical support/troubleshooting expertise for field issues in person, by phone, or by other electronic measures


• Prepare detailed reports and documentation


• Participate in regular meetings with fellow team members within product groups


• Liaison between contractors, customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing groups


• Perform other duties and initiatives as assigned

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree/ Diploma or equivalent


• Knowledge and experience in the use of 2-D and 3-D CAD software


• Minimum 3+ Years of Refrigeration background or related experience


• Strong working knowledge of refrigeration systems/ components and how to apply them


• Commercial Refrigeration experience is considered an asset


• Experience in supermarket-type equipment is considered an asset


• Experience with Microsoft Office Products and proficient in computer use


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Location: 159 Roy Blvd, Brantford, ON. (On-site Role)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
