Commercial Trainee | Launceston

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Westcountry within our family owned global leading meat processing company. As a Commercial Trainee you will learn the full process of our business over a 6 to 12 month training period from livestock procurement through to delivery of the final wholesale red meat products. This is an opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced dynamic business environment.

The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Department and be working within a food factory environment. We will offer full training, support and mentoring with the end goal to take on the role of a site Commercial Planner. Time will be spent in each department with the aim to gain an understanding of all operational and commercial functions. Standard hours would be 8.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday. £26k per annum starting salary.

Responsibilities

• Learning and navigating both Excel and internal software systems
• Collating orders from across the business and external teams to build a daily production plan, taking into consideration various business objectives, pricing considerations and built up knowledge to ensure both high levels for customer service and profitability.
• Building relationships across other departments and also other sites regarding production schedules and changes
• Undertaking projects assigned by departments during the training process
