The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join Pason’s Communications team in the role of Communications Coordinator for a 16-month term.
This is a cross-functional position where you will work with many teams at Pason to produce top-notch corporate communications materials. If you’re looking for a challenge and an opportunity to grow your skills in communications, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
Play a key role in planning, writing, and editing employee communications materials (e.g., newsletter stories, emails, posters, script writing, and presentations)
Develop and execute communication plans efficiently, creatively, and at a high-quality
Provide communications support for employee events
Manage event photography and videography
Manage our company intranet on SharePoint, as well as evaluate, measure, and improve content on an ongoing basis
Edit, develop and design corporate reports in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
Support corporate departments with communications concepts, writing and simple graphic design needs, such as presentations, posters and digital platforms
Organize and run our annual United Way fundraising campaign in the month of November
Other support duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal, written, visual, and interpersonal communication skills
Exceptional time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented, with superior time-management skills and an ability to balance competing priorities
Able to solve problems and work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft O365 (e.g., SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style or CP writing style is considered an asset
Familiarity with and/or website use is considered an asset
Familiarity with WordPress is considered an asset
Experience
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, PR, Journalism or related field
Experience with communication planning
Experience with social media platforms in a corporate setting (e.g., X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
Education
2+ years’ experience in a similar role
