Job Description:

With the assistance of HMC Management Inc., https://hmcmanagement.net/ Council is seeking the services of a full-time qualified Community Development Coordinator (CDC).

Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the CDC is expected to provide professional leadership and direction regarding the development and growth of the community, focusing primarily on the community’s emergency management response; historical, cultural, economic, and business development; along with encouraging growth in residential housing, tourism, parks, and recreation.

Council understands that this opportunity and its primary duties are unique and may appear overwhelming and will take time to further develop, evolve and streamline.

The incumbent will work with Council to establish priority tasks and primary duties and gradually build the position so it supports community growth.

All Proponents are expected to have prior community development experience working for a municipality or a not-for-profit organization, OR a minimum of 2 year’s experience at a senior level in municipal government is required. Past experience in grant research and proposal preparation would be an asset.

The salary range for the position is $60,900 to $70,000 for the right candidate who meets Council’s qualifications and expectations.
