Job Description - Community Growth Manager

Ideogram

Ideogram is a new generative AI startup looking for a dedicated Community Growth Manager to join the team. Our mission is to help people become more creative. We are developing state-of-the-art AI tools that will make creative expression more accessible, fun, and efficient. We are pushing the limits of what’s possible with AI, with a focus on creativity and a high standard for trust and safety. Founding Team

Our founding team consists of world-renowned AI experts including Jonathan Ho, William Chan, Chitwan Saharia, and Mohammad Norouzi. This team has previously led transformative AI projects at Google Brain, UC Berkeley, CMU, and the University of Toronto. Our fundamental work in AI includes: Imagen: Google’s text-to-image system, Imagen Video for video synthesis, Denoising Diffusion Models, WaveGrad for speech synthesis, neural speech recognition, neural machine translation, contrastive learning for learning visual representations, and generative adversarial imitation learning.

About The Role

We are looking for a qualified Community manager to join our team. If you are a tech-savvy professional experienced in social media, PR, and promotional events, we would like to meet you.

Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content. You should be a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community.

Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of our brand and manage all community communications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies for social networking services, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit and Discord, with a focus on content-driven growth.

  • Conduct in-depth community research to gather valuable insights that inform the marketing and promotion of products.

  • Foster collaboration with the brand, creative, creator/community, integrated communications, and production teams to develop and enhance social media content for marketing campaigns.

  • Utilize up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends, social media platforms, and content strategies to propose inventive approaches for engaging communities across diverse social channels and campaigns.

  • Coordinate with the customer service team to gather user feedback, refine product optimization recommendations, provide feedback, and follow up with the development team to implement necessary changes.

  • Perform research, analyses, and testing with a variety of tools to gain insights and shape marketing strategy.

  • Collaborate with team members to optimize automation and lead-nurturing process through email, content, events, and social channels.

  • Assist in the execution of marketing plans to reach audiences through targeted channels.

  • Create and distribute monthly reports on critical metrics for lead generation, content creation, website traffic, and other KPIs

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on social media and community management.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and long-term planning abilities, coupled with a strong results-oriented mindset.

  • Proficiency in using social media data analytics tools, such as YouTube Analytics and Sprinklr, and familiarity with collaboration tools like Jira, Lark, Asana, Trello, etc., is a plus.

  • Proven skills in cross-departmental collaboration, project management, and organization, including the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.

  • Effective communication skills, enabling meaningful engagement with users and a keen understanding of market trends.

  • Proficiency in writing, enabling the creation of high-quality content.
