Job Description - Community Living Co-Chair (2)

Honorarium Position
Work to creative an accepting and welcoming environment for individuals who struggle with personal or developmental challenges in partnership with Community Living Kingston. Organize volunteering initiatives within the community and awareness initiatives within Queen’s to make a tangible and exciting difference. Friends 4 Inclusion Chairs help run the annual wheelchair basketball tournament among many other initiatives. Work closely with your Co-Chair, the Community Outreach Deputy Commissioners, and the Community Outreach Commissioner to make a tangible and lasting impact in the Queen’s community.

Expected Time Commitment and Remuneration

12-month term from May 1st, 2025 to April 30th, 2026 with a time commitment of 5 hours/week

*Eligible candidates must have paid the Arts & Science Undergraduate Membership Fee

12-month term from May 1st, 2025 to April 30th, 2026 with a time commitment of 5 hours/week

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize weekly meetings with the committee
  • Work with your co-chair and committee to organize and execute events and initiatives
  • Hire committee members and volunteers and act as a liaison between all parties
  • Maintain contact with the Community Outreach Deputy Commissioners and the Community Outreach Commissioner to best access ASUS resources
  • Assist in Commission-wide meetings, events and initiatives
