Job Description - Compliance Assistant

Contract - 1 Year


As a Compliance Assistant, you will have the opportunity to use your excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills to support the Compliance Monitoring department.  The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who can manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting expectations.


Responsibilities: 



  • Provides administrative support to the Compliance Monitoring and Supervision Team

  • Opens and closes related activities in the electronic databases / record management system and the related paper files 

  • Receives and tracks all incoming correspondence and documents 

  • Facilitates the clinical supervision and reassessment processes; e.g., contacts physicians and counsel, drafts related correspondence, prepares and sends packages to physicians and counsel 

  • Coordinates receipt, copying and processing of evidence 

  • Supports the compliance monitoring and supervision processes; e.g., receives and tracks new orders, decisions and undertakings from committees 

  • Carries out other monitoring and supervision-related administration as required 

  • Prepares electronic submissions for report back to various College committees 

  • Contributes to organization and conduct of all aspects of department meetings, including booking rooms and, preparing agenda and related materials, taking minutes and following up on action items 

  • Liaises with other College departments including Investigations, Committee Support, Quality Management and Membership Services 

  • Liaises with Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for various data requests, as required 

  • Generates reports, including scheduled and ad-hoc reports 

  • Other responsibilities or projects as assigned 


 Qualifications: 



  • Post-secondary education and/or 2-3 years administrative assistance experience 

  • Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume and time constraints 

  • Knowledge of Regulated Health Professions Act and related processes preferred 

  • Strong keyboarding skills 

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat DC or Professional, as well as Microsoft Office2010/Windows 7 applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word 

  • Experience using database applications is an asset 

  • Knowledge of medical/legal terminology, health care systems are preferred 

  • Equity/diversity/inclusion training would be an asset

Additional Information 


 It is a fundamental requirement of employment at CPSO that employees reside in Ontario and can attend the College office as required.




  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required (minimum two doses).


  • Hybrid, remote work with in-office attendance one day per week and/or more as needed.

Pay Details:  Starting salary $63,449
