Job Description - Compliance Manager

Position Overview:
Join an experienced Compliance department to assist with managing Thrive’s corporate compliance requirements and initiatives. As a Compliance Manager, you should have a strong compliance background with previous experience maintaining compliance with SOC and ISO standards including leading audits. Knowledge of other compliance areas including HIPAA, CJIS, PIPEDA, CMMC, etc. will also be extremely helpful.

Furthermore, this position will act as Thrive’s Facility Security Officer (FSO) with responsibility for ensuring the organization meets and maintains Facility Security Clearance at Secret Level. This includes liaising with the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD) and Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), and ensuring compliance with the Contract Security Manual and other relevant policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Director of Compliance to make sure Thrive is well positioned to pass our Audits. 
  • Work with other departments to ensure we are following all compliance requirements.
  • Update the organization if we are missing any compliance requirements.
  • Engage with customers and Sales team representatives to answer any Due Diligence questionnaires.
  • Evaluate new acquisitions to determine any new compliance requirements and changes that will need to be made.
  • Maintain FSC and liaise with PSPC/CISD as needed.
  • Service as primary contact with PSPC’s Contract Security Program.
  • Process personnel security clearances (Secret level).
Qualifications:
  • Currently hold or be eligible to hold a Secret-Level clearance.
  • 3-5 years of compliance experience with SOC2 and/or ISO27001 Audits
  • 3+ years in industrial or facility security.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
