Job Description - Compliance Manager

LanguageWire is looking for a Compliance Manager to strengthen LanguageWire's dedication towards compliance with Information Security requirements and the GDPR.

Working closely with our Group Quality Manager and Platform Security Engineer, you will be part of the team which ensures and manages the maintenance, development, and renewal of our compliance certifications within areas such as ISO27001, ISO9001 and TISAX. You will drive the progress and maintenance of our Information Security Management System (ISMS). You will act as our subject matter expert with regards to Information Security and GDPR and will take the lead in coordinating and answering from both internal and external stakeholders.

You will contribute to the Information Security and Data Protection agenda, with the purpose of becoming a trusted partner to our organization and customers.

You will join our Quality Excellence team and work closely with our Group Quality Manager, the Technical Enablement team and the IT infrastructure team.

  • Bringing your in-depth experience within Information Security and displaying your active work with ISO standards, your involvement and work with GDPR compliance across an organization, your experience from working with information security infrastructure, and your reference points to security projects you have been involved in.
  • Staying updated and sharing the latest requirements for the compliance certifications.
  • Contribute to the internal audit plan (ISO27001, ISO9001, TISAX).
  • Facilitating compliance assessments and audits and interpreting/analysing the reports for different business units.
  • Using audit findings to improve the levels of our quality and security management.
  • Developing and structuring compliance procedures and documentation in the ISMS framework.
  • Acting as compliance subject matter expert to other department representatives, customers, and regulatory representatives.

In one year, you'll know you were successful if...

  • We maintain our strong commitment to ISO 27001 and update our certificate to the latest version ISO27001:2022
  • You use your excellent communication skills to mentor, educate, and implement relevant and new GDPR or other compliance info to the organization.
  • You have become the trusted internal contact for all GDPR related topics.

What you'll need to bring:

  • Relevant education (min. bachelor level) within the law, general business, and broad knowledge of the security area and flair for working with delivery breakdowns and experience in preparing customer-oriented material.
  • Min of 3 years of work experience within IT and security-related subjects or from a similar position.
  • Proven experience within ISO27001, the General Data Protection Regulation or equivalent data protection standards
  • Experience with answering customer requests related to IT security and GDPR
  • Ability to speak directly/relate to clients who may have any level of subject matter expertise and seniority between beginner and senior management.
  • Understanding of EU- and country-specific laws concerning data acquisition, protection, and transmission.
  • Keen to stay updated with the latest developments in GDPR and data protection regulations.
  • Written and spoken English at near native / C2 level is a must.

  • Experience with TISAX
  • Experience with US/Canada-specific data protection regulation.
