Concrete Finisher

Position Overview

The Concrete Finisher is responsible for the smooth and precise finishing of concrete surfaces, ensuring excellence in quality and appearance for various construction projects at Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. This role involves preparing forms, pouring concrete, and applying finishing techniques to achieve the desired texture and surface finish while adhering to safety protocols and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and perform site measurements to ensure a correct layout before pouring concrete.
• Prepare and set up concrete forms and braces, using tools such as hand tools and power tools.
• Pour, spread, and level concrete, ensuring consistency and quality according to specified requirements.
• Use finishing tools and techniques to create smooth and high-quality surfaces.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust pouring and finishing techniques as necessary.
• Install reinforcements as needed in concrete work (e.g., rebar or wire mesh).
• Ensure site cleanliness and safety by following all safety protocols in handling materials.
• Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Previous experience as a concrete finisher or related role is required.
• Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to lift heavy materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as required.
