ABOUT THE ROLE


Are you passionate about building the roads that connect communities? Amrize Construction is seeking skilled and dedicated individuals to join our Road Construction Team in the Saskatoon Area. As a Road Construction Team Member, you'll be at the forefront of constructing vital transportation arteries, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH



  • Interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine form specifications.

  • Measure and cut materials, such as lumber and plywood, to construct forms according to project requirements.

  • Assemble and secure forms in place with nails, bolts, or screws, ensuring proper alignment.

  • Pour and spread concrete into forms, smoothing and finishing surfaces using hand tools.

  • Remove forms after concrete has set and clean and prepare them for reuse.

  • Inspect forms and formwork to identify and repair any defects or damage.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.….

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.


 


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: at least 1-year previous experience working as a form worker or carpenter in the construction industry.


 


Additional Requirements:



  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and hammers.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and cutting materials.

  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures on construction sites.

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE).
