Concrete Labour – Atlantic Road Construction & Paving

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a well established heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipeline & underground utility placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. 

We are looking to expand our concrete crew with those experienced in the field to meet our current demand for operations. Concrete operations are seasonal in nature, but we will keep our crew’s working for as long as possible.

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License & reliable transportation to work required.


• Capable of physically strenuous manual labour and poses manual dexterity. 


• Can competently use basic hand tools. 


• Experience prepping, forming, and finishing concrete preferred. 


• Curb & sidewalk experience an asset.


• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.


• Must be reliable and punctual.


• Strong communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces for concrete placement.


• Building, installing and removing concrete forms.


• Mixing, pouring and spreading concrete.
  


• Pouring, shoveling, grading and smoothing concrete.


• Maintain and restore various curbs, sidewalks, etc.
  


• Applying curing or surface treatment to laid concrete.


• Applying hardening and sealing compounds to concrete
  


• Repair/resurface/replace worn or damaged concrete.
  


• Other duties as required.
