Job Description - Construction Accounting Coordinator

Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Accounting Coordinator to join their dynamic team and support the Controller. Key Responsibilities for the Job:

Accounts payable Accounts receivable Set up the project master files Entering estimates, subcontracts, and purchase orders Responding to supplies and vendor inquiries on payment status Set up new accounts in Jonas as necessary Allocate monthly overhead costs to jobs based on payroll data Other duties as required

Experience & Attributes for Success:

Post-secondary education from a college or university focusing in accounting Previous construction industry experience is a definite asset Proficiency with Sage50 software is ideal Previous experience using the Jonas file management system is considered an asset Basic understanding of accounting terms and conditions Able to keep track of multiple projects and prioritize according to operational needs Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts Detail oriented with an analytical mindset Ability to adapt to changing priorities Able to work well within a team
