Who is a Construction AutoCAD Technician?

The Construction AutoCAD Technician role is responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining detailed 2D/3D technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD software for new designs and for documenting existing club conditions. This role will support the overall Club Design process for the GoodLife Group, including equipment layouts, engineering, architectural, and construction projects.

What will you be doing?

Supports the Club Design and Construction Department with creating new Equipment Layout drawings:

• Creates detailed 2D/3D drawings and layouts using AutoCAD
• Revises drawings based on feedback from leadership and design updates
• Interprets sketches, specifications, and technical data
• Ensures drawings comply with company and industry standards
• Coordinates drawing updates with engineers and project teams
• Maintains organized drawing files and revision control
• Maintains drawing registers and revision logs
• Ensures proper file naming and document control procedures
• Archives completed project drawings

Supports the Club Design and Construction Department and Club Services with updating existing Equipment Layout drawings:

• Visits existing clubs to document existing conditions
• Creates and updates detailed 2D/3D drawings and layouts of existing club layouts
• Works with the Club Services department to maintain an accurate fitness equipment list
• Interprets sketches, specifications, and technical data
• Ensures drawings comply with company and industry standards
• Ensures accuracy and dimensional integrity of drawings
• Assists with quantity take-offs (if required)
• Maintains and updates a shared library of drawings to be shared with various departments

Do you have what it takes?

• College Degree in Drafting Technology or Architectural Technology
• 2 years' Experience
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and precision
• Ability to travel on occasion for site visits
