Construction Labourer

Job Brief

The Fundy Harbour Group is seeking a reliable hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team of dedicated team. This role will be responsible for following directions from our supervisors and tradespeople. To be successful in this role you should be physically fit as heavy lifting is sometimes required.    

Responsibilities

• Preps construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.


• Responsible for loading and unloading construction materials.


• Collects and removes garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste.


• Cleans external areas such as entranceways, sidewalks and parking lots using manual and power brooms, rakes, shovels and other equipment to remove dirt, leaves, snow and other refuse.


• Operates heavy equipment as directed.


• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude throughout all interactions.


• Other work related to the position as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license


• High school diploma


• Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks in various weather conditions.


• Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task is critical.


• Ability to coordinate and manage conflicting priorities, often under pressure.


• High level of motivation, maturity and dependability.


• Team player and an ability to collaborate.
