Construction Miner - British Columbia

What You'll Do

As a Construction Miner, you will support underground construction and development activities including:

• Concrete placement and finishing


• Formwork construction and installation


• Shotcrete application and support activities


• Installation of underground infrastructure and services


• Operation of construction tools and equipment


• Ground support and rehabilitation projects


• Material handling and site preparation


• Conducting workplace inspections and hazard assessments


• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment


• Working collaboratively with supervisors, operators, and tradespeople

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of underground mining or construction experience


• Experience with formwork, concrete placement, and shotcrete applications


• Strong understanding of underground construction practices


• Ability to work safely in a production mining environment


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills


• Physically capable of performing demanding underground work


• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating jacklegs, pneumatic drills, and underground construction equipment


• Underground mine rescue or emergency response training


• Valid driver's licence


• Experience on development, rehabilitation, or mine construction projects

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in underground environments that may be wet, dusty, and noisy


• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment


• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods


• Must be able to wear required PPE and respiratory protection when necessary
