Staffing on behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of municipal and industrial water/wastewater facility projects,
as well as building infrastructure initiatives across the Edmonton region. The
ideal candidate brings a strong background in complex, multi -disciplinary
construction projects, excels at managing contractors and consultants, and
ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This
role offers the opportunity to work on high -impact projects that support
critical infrastructure and long -term community growth.

Requirements

• Manage full
  project lifecycle from planning and procurement through construction,
  commissioning, and close -out.
  
• Lead the
  coordination of civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines for
  water/wastewater treatment facilities and related building infrastructure.
  
• Oversee
  contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and
  cost objectives.
  
• Prepare and
  manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and risk management plans.
  
• Administer
  contracts, manage change orders, and ensure compliance with specifications,
  regulatory requirements, and municipal standards.
  
• Conduct
  regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing clear reporting to
  internal teams and stakeholders.
  
• Resolve
  technical issues, mitigate risks, and proactively address project challenges.
  
• Collaborate
  with engineering teams, permitting agencies, and municipal partners to support
  seamless project execution.
  
• Ensure
  construction documentation, submittals, and reports are accurate, complete, and
  maintained.
  

Qualifications

• 7+ years of
  progressive experience in construction project management,
  preferably in water/wastewater facilities, municipal infrastructure, or
  industrial buildings.
  
• Diploma or
  degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Civil Technology, or a related
  discipline work experience.
  
• Strong
  understanding of water/wastewater treatment systems, process equipment, and
  building infrastructure.
  
• Proven
  experience managing contractors, construction teams, and multi -phase project
  portfolios.
  
• Excellent
  knowledge of Alberta Building Code, OH&S regulations, and municipal
  standards.
  
• Proficient
  with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  
• Strong
  leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• ​PMP, CET, or
  P.Eng designation considered an asset.
