Job Description - Construction Proposal Specialist

Title: Construction Proposal Specialist

Location: Greater Toronto Area

Company: Triumph Group of Companies

Role Overview

The Construction Proposal Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality proposal responses across all stages of the pursuit process, including Expressions of Interest (EOI), Requests for Qualification (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP). You will manage multiple submission files simultaneously, each at a different stage of completion, while maintaining quality from first draft through final delivery. You work closely with internal teams to develop themes, coordinate content, and ensure every submission is formatted correctly and on brand. The people who thrive here are disciplined writers who take pride in the details, stay organized under deadline pressure, and can manage competing priorities without dropping the ball.

What We Offer

  • Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and life insurance

  • On-site role with a collaborative team in the Greater Toronto Area

  • Professional growth opportunities within the business development function

  • Stable, long-term employment with a well-established and growing organization

What You Bring to the Table

Technical Skills

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in proposal writing, coordination, or professional business writing, ideally in construction or a related industry

  • Hands-on experience managing EOI, RFQ, and RFP submissions from intake through delivery, including multiple concurrent pursuits

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to produce polished technical content under deadline pressure

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint, for document production, formatting, and layout

  • Familiarity with brand guidelines and document formatting standards, with an eye for consistency and presentation quality

Attributes

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple files at different stages of completion without losing track of deadlines or quality

  • A clear and confident writer who can translate complex information from subject matter experts into a well-structured, compelling response

  • Detail-oriented and thorough, you review every document carefully and take formatting, grammar, and brand consistency seriously

  • A strong collaborator who communicates clearly, builds good working relationships across teams, and makes it easy for others to contribute

  • Self-directed and reliable, you take ownership of your work and follow through on commitments without needing close supervision

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end production of proposal submissions including EOI, RFQ, and RFP responses from kickoff through final delivery

  • Review incoming proposal documents thoroughly to understand requirements, identify key themes, and develop a clear response strategy

  • Write, edit, and proofread proposal content, coordinating input from internal subject matter experts across operations, estimating, and leadership

  • Ensure all submissions meet brand standards, formatting guidelines, and compliance requirements before they go out the door

  • Coordinate final document production including layout, assembly, and submission logistics across all active pursuit files

  • Review standard firm content and published materials to ensure they meet formatting styles and brand guidelines

  • Maintain and update a library of standard proposal content, project profiles, team bios, and firm credentials for use across submissions

  • Track active pursuits and upcoming deadlines, keeping the Business Development team informed of pipeline status

  • Support the pursuit of new leads and opportunities that align with the company's capabilities and growth priorities

  • Assist with miscellaneous business development assignments and presentation materials as needed
