Overview of Wealth Mgmt and PAG
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Technology (WMT) is responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. The WMT Architecture team is responsible for leading technology adoption, production stability, code quality and engineering practices for the Wealth management technology platform. The Architecture team works on leading cloud adoption, prototyping innovative solutions, evaluates technology/industry landscape, adopt best practices for the firm, consulting engineering teams on solution architecture, design, performance engineering, security, scalability & disaster recovery.

Position Overview
The ideal candidate must possess advanced expertise in Apigee API management, including proxy and policy design, shared flow and template development, deep Java integration, and security protocol implementation. Experience with hybrid cloud integration and continuous delivery automation using open-source frameworks is required. This role also demands flexibility to work overlapping US hours to support Agile architectural requirements and collaborate with application development, application support and infrastructure engineering teams.

We're seeking a dynamic technologist with a passion for modern API architecture and cloud-native development.

You will bring to the role

• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise-grade application development.
• Advanced skills in Node.js for designing and building scalable web solutions.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Grunt, PowerShell, and Python for automation.
• Mastery of Apigee Edge and Apigee Hybrid, including policy creation, proxy development, and seamless CI/CD integration.
• Proficiency in API design using OpenAPI/Swagger standards and tools.
• Strong understanding of security protocols, including two-way TLS, certificate management, and HTTPS.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, especially GCP APIs, GIT/DevOps integration, and GKE-based microservices.
• Experience with orchestration and service mesh frameworks such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
• Troubleshooting and analytics skills for Apigee infrastructure and hybrid setups.
