Role Summary

We are looking for a creative content creator who understands how to produce engaging social media content. This role focuses on creating high-performing Reels and TikTok videos that capture attention, tell compelling stories, and align with the Smard Art brand.

We are seeking someone who not only films content but also edits it effectively, understands current social media trends, and can quickly replicate successful content styles.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels and TikTok.


• Produce multiple edits per day with fast turnaround times.


• Film and edit content using strong storytelling techniques.


• Recreate or adapt inspiration videos and trending formats with minimal direction.


• Use effective editing techniques including pacing, captions, zooms, overlays, and transitions.


• Contribute creative ideas that help elevate the overall content strategy.


• Stay up to date with social media trends and viral content formats.
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing high-performing short-form content (Reels / TikTok).


• Strong understanding of short-form storytelling and pacing.


• Ability to film and edit content independently.


• Comfortable creating content on camera when needed.


• Experience using editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.


• Ability to work quickly and produce multiple pieces of content daily.


• Portfolio demonstrating strong short-form video editing skills.

• Enjoys expressing personal style and creativity on camera.


• Has a deep understanding of the content creator ecosystem.


• Is a fast learner who can quickly implement feedback.

Nice to Have

• Based in Ottawa or Gatineau with reliable transportation.


• Experience using cameras or filming equipment.


• Familiar with viral social media trends and creator-led content.
