What you willdo in the role
- Technicalwriting - the ability to create structured reports, highlighting how datavaries from the data quality rules that have been defined for each dataelement, and to thus formally document results as part of the audit record.
- Capturing themetadata related to each critical data element in an agency repository orin an alternative tool. The nature of this metadata should include themeaning of the data element, and whether the data element constitutesPersonally Identifiable Information (PII)
- A willingnessto learn to use our new front-end system(s), which will be used by you tocapture the corrected data into
- Ability toconduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required. Provenanalytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstratedunderstanding, and commitment to, integrating the Agency’s Mission andvalues into practice, service, and relationships.
- Demonstratedunderstanding of workplace Health and Safety practices and understandingof an employee’s responsibility under current legislation.
- Data quality policyand process development experience

What you bringto the table
- 3-5 yearsrobust experience in SQL, with a good understanding of the theoryunderlying relational algebra – unions (full outer joins), intersections(inner joins), and variations enabled by left and right joins.
- 3-5 yearsexperience in data quality as a data steward, identifying critical dataelements and co-defining data quality metrics and thresholds for thosecritical data elements, as well as identifying and correcting data qualityissues by means of these findings.
