The Conveyor Supervisor reports to the Conveyor Superintendent and is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the overland conveyor system at the Quintette Mine. This role ensures conveyor operations and maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently to support reliable coal delivery and site production targets.
Supervise the day-to-day operation, inspection, and maintenance of the overland conveyor and ROM system.
Ensure safe, efficient, and continuous material handling to meet production targets.
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Enforce safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory compliance across the team.
Lead, coach, and support conveyor operations and maintenance personnel to promote a high-performance culture.
Ensure clear communication across shifts and with other departments to support smooth site operations.
Coordinate and support planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure system reliability.
Assist with developing and executing operational plans, schedules, and improvement initiatives.
Contribute to cost control efforts and adherence to operational budgets.
Identify opportunities for improving system performance, safety practices, and team efficiency.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective coordination, safety compliance, and clear direction to crews.
Proven leadership and team-building abilities to drive performance, accountability, and safe work practices among the team.
Ability to foster a positive, safety-focused culture grounded in teamwork, integrity, and operational excellence.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn site-based maintenance and reporting systems (e.g., timecards, vacation requests, and leaves).
Effective time and priority management to navigate dynamic operational needs and respond to unplanned events.
A proactive leadership approach that motivates crews and supports the achievement of safety, production, and maintenance goals.
Conuma Resources offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The Conveyor Supervisor position provides an annual base salary of $115,000 – $130,000, depending on experience, along with monthly efficiency bonuses, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance-based bonus.
Benefits include paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental coverage.
