Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet, BC is hiring a Cook 1 to join our year-round culinary team.

We’re looking for someone with solid kitchen experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and shows up with purpose. This is a great fit for someone who:

• Has 2 to 3 years of professional kitchen experience


• Works well under pressure and stays focused during service


• Has flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Is passionate about cooking and being part of a kitchen team


• Is ambitious, goal-oriented, and committed to learning


• Brings a strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude

In this role, you will:

• Prepare and plate dishes efficiently and consistently, following established standards


• Support smooth kitchen operations and communicate effectively with the team


• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in your work area


• Store, label, and rotate food properly to minimize waste


• Assist with inventory and kitchen organization


• Follow all food safety and workplace safety standards


• Contribute to a respectful and collaborative work environment
