ARAMARK is Hiring Cooks for the Food Services Department at Manic-5

Aramark offers 14 days on / 14 days off work rotation.

Employees are provided with meals, private accommodation, and access to washer and dryer facilities.

Aramark also offers a transportation allowance and competitive group insurance benefits.

Position: 1st Cook and 3rd Cook

Location: Manic-5

Wage: Between $22.41 and $26.26 per hour, depending on the position held.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.


• Ensure the daily menu is prepared and delivered according to operational requirements.


• Manage kitchen activities, including staffing, inventory control, and ordering as needed.


• Respond effectively to operational needs and adapt to changing priorities.


• Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items.


• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, and colleagues.


• Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction.


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by properly cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment.

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma or equivalent experience is considered an asset.


• Two to three years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.


• Strong culinary skills are considered an asset.


• Experience in a remote camp environment is considered an asset.


• MAPAQ certification is considered an asset.


• Ensure that food safety and sanitation programs are always followed.


• Comply with all health and safety regulations and procedures.

• Positive attitude, honesty, and sound judgment.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.


• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Background Check Requirement

The successful candidate for this position must complete and successfully pass a criminal background check and a vulnerable sector screening (where operationally required). If hired for this position, employment with Aramark will be conditional upon Aramark being satisfied that both requirements have been successfully met.
