Corporate Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. At Allied, everything starts with purpose. In the role of Corporate Accountant, you will support the corporate finance function by supporting the full accounting cycle of corporate entity, preparing bank reconciliations and internal and external reporting schedules, among others. What will you do?
Prepare account reconciliations, journals and working papers. Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate unreconciled items. Review and analyze a corporate entity’s income statement and balance sheet to provide variance analysis on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Prepare monthly filings and cheque requisitions for HST/QST. Assist in the preparation of quarter-end and year-end schedules for external reporting. Prepare monthly schedules for management reporting. Support the budget process for corporate entities Support the annual tax filing process including preparing nominee returns and limited partnership tax schedules.
What are we looking for?
University degree or equivalent. Up to 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in commercial real estate or public accounting. An interest in pursuing the CPA designation. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, in particular). An assertive self-starter with a positive attitude, excellent organization and analytical skills, ability to manage multiple demands, good time management skills, and possesses a keen attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Collaborative team player.
