ABOUT WILLIAMS LAKE FIRST NATION (WLFN)
The Williams Lake First Nation (WLFN), or the T’exelcemc (people of WLFN) have belonged to the Secwepemc (or Shuswap) Nation for over 6500 years. Today, the WLFN community includes a growing population of over 800 registered members who live on reserve in Sugar Cane, in nearby Williams Lake, BC, and across the globe.

POSITION
Reports to the Chief Executive Officer, Sugar Cane Development Corporation. This role is focused on supporting the day-to-day operations and growth of WLFN-owned businesses, with an emphasis on administrative support that contributes to each corporation's overall efficiency, professionalism, and sales performance.
The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting Sugar Cane Development Corporation and its affiliated entities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing a wide range of tasks in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
Employment Type
Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week).
Education Required
· Certificate in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant training and education.
Experience Required
· Minimum 3-5 years of administrative, clerical, or coordination experience.
Overtime Status
(non-exempt)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
2. Provide direct administrative support to corporate leaders, including calendar coordination, scheduling, and executive communications.
3. Serve as a liaison between business offices, staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
4. Assist in tracking project timelines, action items, and follow-ups to ensure corporate initiatives remain on schedule.
5. Coordinate logistics for meetings and corporate events including the preparation of agendas and minute-taking.
6. Maintain and organize corporate documents, digital files, and records professionally and confidentially.
7. Support light financial tasks such as credit card reconciliation and expense tracking.
8. Contribute to marketing and communications efforts, including newsletters, branded materials, and social media content.
9. Proactively support daily business operations, which may include occasional travel to retail or project sites, addressing operational challenges, and managing time-sensitive tasks
10. Support the mission, vision, and values of Williams Lake First Nation.
11. Contribute to the WLFN’s ongoing success by accomplishing other duties as required or assigned.
