Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking Administrative Assistant to join our corporate group in our Kelowna office. The successful candidate is an enthusiastic and hardworking team player who would like to work with lawyers in Corporate, regular working hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Standard Responsibilities:
Preparing and drafting various correspondence and documents;
Prepare routine correspondence and basic corporate documentation;
Time entry and client billing;
Preparing expense reports;
Organize and maintain physical and electronic corporate/commercial files;
Maintaining an efficient file management and bring forward system;
Handle photocopying, scanning, and binding of legal materials;
Maintaining a full calendar, email management and managing lawyers’ practice;
Liaising with legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers and clients on file progress;
General administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
A Legal Administrative Assistant certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
Minimum 2 year of previous experience in a legal environment is an asset.
Previous experience in the Real Estate practice area is an asset.
Experience with LTSA and PPSA searches is an asset.
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office programs are required.
Must have experience with general due diligence.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to pay strong attention to details.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-orientated environment.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Must be flexible and adaptable to the demands of the role.
The typical salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
