About our Client

Our client is a newly established law firm that is looking to grow their dynamic team in beautiful Vancouver, BC. They specialize in corporate law and conveyancing services and are looking for a full-time SENIOR CORPORATE PARALEGAL to assist with corporate records maintenance, reorganizations and corporate transactions, commercial transactions, and general corporate and administrative assistance. Responsibilities

  • Annual record maintenance for British Columbia and Federal Companies, as well as extra provincially registered companies
  • BC Online searches and filings
  • Transferring records (incoming and outgoing) and updating corporate records
  • General corporate records work (drafting and editing resolutions, agreements, and filing forms, attending to filings with BC Registry and Corporations Canada, reviewing and updating corporate records)
  • Corporate reorganizations (typically based on planning memorandums prepared by accountants)
  • Commercial transactions (corporate resolutions and other supporting documents for transactions)
  • General administrative work (forwarding mail, scanning documents, drafting and editing correspondence, billing and processing payments)
  • Supporting and liaising with other legal assistants and paralegals, lawyers, and clients on file progress

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience Corporate Paralegal
  • Experience in corporate records maintenance, incorporations, and share transactions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with PC Law and Worldox is an asset
  • Strong communication, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
