  • Planning and conducting company-wide safety meetings and supporting effective Health and Safety Committees in satellite offices
  • Leading incident and near miss investigation, reporting and follow up actions
  • Reviewing job site safety compliance inspections
  • Maintaining and updating safety records for all employees, in coordination with Human Resources
  • Maintaining Binnie’s COR certification in AB and BC
  • Working with others in a manner consistent with Binnie’s corporate values, including collaboration and respect
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience in a consulting engineering or construction environment
  • Completed OH&S Certificate or Diploma
  • Strong working knowledge of the OH&S Act, regulations and industry best practices and standards in BC and Alberta
  • Experience in the development and presentation of safety training
Nice to haves:
  • Safety Professional Designation (CHSC or CRSP)
  • Current OFA Level 3 certification
  • Experience in workplace occupational health and safety claims management
