About the Opportunity Evaluate customer credit applications and set credit limits Implement processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables Oversee accounts receivable collections Monitor daily pending customer orders Maintain files for 1,500 customer accounts Attend monthly sales and credit meetings Manage Accounts Receivable Department operations and staff Perform month-end duties and advise Finance on doubtful accounts Execute other related tasks as needed Day in the life:
Credit and collections check for all three companies- in Ontario and Quebec and Oak Concrete in Indiana Assessing customer credit applications and establishing credit limits Daily monitoring of pending sales orders Improving cash-flow/ receivable process A/R account collections Maintain customer accounts (approx.. 1500 accounts) Manage accounts receivable department Understanding lien rights and construction bonds. Involved in industry credit meetings Managing the A/R Department Periodically visiting customers and other sites Monthly credit meetings Preparing reports for period-end close Develop rapport with sales reps/work closely with team About You Certified Credit Professional designation from Canada 5-10 years of experience in a similar role Experience in the construction industry Knowledge of construction bonds and lien rights Strong analytical skills Proficient in negotiating payment schedules Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar software Ability to adapt in a high-volume environment Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills Organized and detail-oriented Effective communication skills Car transportation is required Salary Range $90,000 - $100,000/year
